# People

The cast of humans involved in the work that flows through this system.
*Illustrative, not exhaustive* — real-world relationships shift; this is
the picture as of mid-2026.

Each person is a **Party** (see [README.md](README.md#party-proposed--replaces-person-or-company-mixed-usage)).
They may own one or more orgs and have engagements with many parties.

## Rian Bowden
- **Owns:** Bowden Works.
- **Engagements:**
  - With PlusROI: **partnership** (profit-share, ~15 years, undocumented
    but contractually defensible).
  - With many freelancers and agencies via Bowden Works — typically
**subcontractor** engagements going out, sometimes referrer.
- **App role:** sole super admin. View-as is how he tests what other
users see; otherwise he uses the app like everyone else.

## Rob Cooper
- **Owns:** PlusROI Online Marketing; **What Works Marketing** (newer,
parallel agency he founded outside the Bowden Works partnership).
- **Engagements:**
  - With Rian/Bowden Works: **partnership** in PlusROI (50/50 after
    Danielle's bookkeeping cut).
  - With Carmen and others via What Works.
- **Notable:** What Works exists partly to do work *outside* the
  PlusROI revenue-sharing arrangement.

## Adi Pramono
- **Owns:** Tingang (Indonesian dev shop).
- **Engagements:**
  - With Bowden Works: **subcontractor**, hourly. Has a PlusROI email
and communicates with PlusROI clients as if a PlusROI employee, but
contractually he's a Bowden Works subcontractor.
  - Recently also working on Bowden Works' own client projects (uses
personal email there — no Bowden Works email).
  - Owns Tingang and engages his own team there.
- **Notable:**
  - Forbidden from contracting directly with Bowden Works/PlusROI clients.
  - Has started discussing **fixed-price** engagements as well as hourly.
  - In some months, work is split between client projects, BW/PlusROI
    admin, and Rian's personal projects.
- **Conversion math today:** Bowden Works marks up Adi's hours when
invoicing PlusROI. The current Clockify-to-Toggl flow lives because
  of this.

## Heather Bowden
- **Sister of Rian.** No registered company name; invoices under her
  own name.
- **Engagements:**
  - With PlusROI: **per-unit** freelance, long-standing (~12-13 years).
    Has a PlusROI email.
  - With Bowden Works: increasingly, **partnership** (50/50 profit-share)
on Bowden-Works-direct projects, with occasional **fixed-price**
    projects.
  - Has a few of her own clients.
- **Future:** has discussed bringing her own clients into Bowden Works
jointly. Unclear if as a partnership engagement under Bowden Works,
or her contracting Bowden Works as a subcontractor.

## Summer Coley-Ward
- **Owns:** Agent Noir (her freelance agency).
- **Engagements:**
  - With PlusROI: **per-unit** freelance, ~15 years.
  - With McAllister Marketing: **per-unit** freelance, ~15 years.
  - With Bowden Works: occasional **fixed-price** subcontractor for her
    own clients.
  - Has her own Agent Noir clients.
- **Future:** has floated a 3-way partnership with Rian + Heather as a
new entity, or working more closely under one of the existing orgs.

## Yulia Ekeltchik
- **Engagements:** primarily PlusROI, **per-unit** freelance. Has a few
of her own small clients but prefers freelancing for agencies.
- **Notable:** nothing structural blocks her from doing fixed-price /
hourly / profit-share work later — these are just defaults.

## Carmen Herdzik
- **Engagements:** primarily What Works (Rob Cooper's separate
company), per-unit. Occasional per-unit work for PlusROI.
- **Notable:** may be an official partner or employee of What Works
(not confirmed). Rob sometimes routes overflow work from her to Rian.

## Zeina
- **Engagements:** **subcontractor** under Tingang (Adi's company).
Tracks her time; Adi divides by half and bills the converted hours
to Bowden Works as if he did the work himself.
- **App relationship:** doesn't need to be a user. But Adi may want to
track her assignments, and Bowden Works wants visibility into what
*tasks* she worked on (not necessarily her invoices).
- Represents a class of Tingang workers — there are ~18 others like her.

## Nicole Donnelly
- **Owns:** Customer First Design / AISmart Ventures (AISV) / formerly
  Salty Waffle.
- **Engagements:**
  - With PlusROI: long-running **referrer** (commission) on multiple
clients she's sent over the years; also occasional subcontracting
    in both directions.
  - With Bowden Works: occasional direct subcontracting.
- **Notable:** I've never subcontracted *to* Nicole or any of her
companies. Always on the assigning / referring end.

## Andrea Rickett
- **Engagements:** works closely with Nicole; effectively project
manager for Nicole's companies. Communicates with PlusROI / Bowden
  Works on Nicole's behalf.
- **Notable:** never doing direct delivery work; always orchestrating.

## Mark How
- **Owned:** New Growth Agency (now dissolved).
- **Current:** partner in Qualia Life Sciences.
- **Notable:** had the unusual "PlusROI team must use @newgrowth.com
email" arrangement on Qualia. Now that NewGrowth dissolved, PlusROI
  contracts directly with Qualia.

## Russel Munz
- **Owns:** Community Financials.
- **Engagements:** end client of PlusROI. Originally referred via
Salty Waffle/AISV (still pays a commission to AISV).
- **Notable:** representative example of a "person who is an end-client
  contact, not a worker."

## Danielle Cooper
- **Spouse of Rob.** Official co-owner of PlusROI on paper.
- **Engagement:** **gross-percentage** comp for bookkeeping services on
  PlusROI revenue.
- **Notable:** doesn't do operational work. Comes off the top before
  the Rian↔Rob profit split.

## Nicole Bowden
- **Spouse of Rian.** Official co-owner of Bowden Works on paper.
- **Engagement:** **official-partner**; does no work, no comp model
  beyond ownership.
