Safest possible. Every face equal, Andrew Broadley included (he fits no team — this is the only option where that isn't a problem). Cost: the league idea disappears — this could be any firm's team page.

The current design minus the show: no rotation, no hover cards, no sliding window (big teams truncate to +N). Keeps the league structure and the equal columns; loses "everyone takes the front seat" — the fixed big face quietly becomes a leader again.

Rows read like a league table — every member visible at equal size (no lead at all: the most literally equal option), overlaps shown honestly (Darren appears in three rows). Cost: faces are small, and five rows are taller than five columns.

The inverse of the league idea: people first, teams as metadata. Densest and most scannable; pairs naturally with the L2 locations ledger if we ever want a full stationery direction. Andrew's missing team shows as an honest orange "team TBC" tag — the data gap made visible.

The league is a PHOTOGRAPH (one frame of everyone together — a November must-shoot), so individuals can be small and equal. The group photo does what five columns of structure were doing. Strongest argument for the all-team shot; weakest if that photo never gets taken.

The homepage's signature pattern doing a second job: the page opens with a checkerboard of PROBLEMS and later answers with a checkerboard of PEOPLE. Rosters are text (names, not thumbnails) — readable, and big teams truncate honestly. Risk: two checkerboards on one page may be one too many.

The most editorial of the set — stationery discipline pushed furthest: the names ARE the layout, one portrait window answers the cursor. Ages beautifully, needs no photography to launch, and the hover obeys the vocabulary rule (names are real links). Risk: on touch there is no hover — the preview needs a tap-to-preview or first-portrait fallback.

Interactive but conventional — everyone understands tabs. Each team gets full cards (face + name + focus) instead of thumbnails, so members are PEOPLE not dots. Cost: only one team visible at a time — the "12 lawyers, one league" breadth never appears in a single view.

Maximum faces per square inch — the bench's depth AS the design, with the claim built into the wall rather than floating above it. Names appear on hover (kept off by default so the wall reads as one thing). Reads modern; risk: closest of the set to "visual dynamic for its own sake."

The original T1 breathed at 26–34px; this closes to 12px. Still reads as individual portraits — acquaintances, not yet a team.

At 4px the photos start reading as ONE object with seams — a contact sheet of people who share a room. The name rows keep each person distinct.

No gap at all: the twelve portraits become a single photographic band, individuals distinguished only by the light in each frame. Maximum "one team"; the cost is that no one can be seen alone — which is either the point or a problem.

Same 4px closeness, rearranged 6-across so all twelve fit one screen-width band — the team as a bench you read left to right. Tightest marriage of the closeness idea and the "whole bench in one view" idea.
