# Client video narration — homepage designs (home_v1 … home_v6)

*Written 2026-08-31 for Adi's presentation video. Spoken-English script; ~4–5 minutes
if the screen actions are followed. Pages: `wp-content/prototype/home_v1.html` … `home_v6.html`.*

**Recording notes (not for narration):**

- The body walkthrough is written against **home_v1**; if recording over v5, swap the order (hero first, then grid).
- At *(click Injuries)*, the takeover flip animation is the best visual moment — give it a beat of silence.
- Names come from "System A" (Direct Answer / Welcome Desk / Bold Welcome); if you'd rather not name them, say "option one / two / three."
- Every factual claim (160 years, seven wins, twelve lawyers, six offices, SCC case) is verified from the live site.

## Opening — set the frame (~30 sec)

> Hi, this is the first design presentation for the new League and Williams homepage.
>
> Everything you'll see is built directly from the direction you gave us: contact
> information that hits you in the face. Practice areas you can click without
> scrolling. And the league idea — teams, not lawyers — built into the structure
> of the page, not just the words.
>
> One thing before we start: every photo in these designs is intentionally blurred.
> Photography comes from the November shoot, so today we're deciding *layout and
> structure* — not pictures. The blur is there so we don't get distracted by
> placeholder images.

## The shared body — walk one page top to bottom (~90 sec)

*(screen: scroll slowly through home_v1)*

> All six versions share the same core page. Let me walk through it once.
>
> The header: your phone number, top right, real size, tap-to-call. It never
> disappears.
>
> Then the practice areas. Five teams — Injuries, Estates, Business, Marine,
> Real Estate — laid out as a grid you can read in two seconds. You see your
> issue, you click it.
>
> *(click Injuries)* And here's the league idea in action. Click a team, and the
> whole grid becomes that team's space — every service listed, the lawyers who
> actually work these cases, and two ways to act: read more, or book a
> consultation. Notice real faces rotate in — you're not hiring a menu, you're
> meeting a team.
>
> Next: the contact band. "Not one lawyer. A league." — with the phone number
> huge, and a call-back form that takes ten seconds.
>
> Then the whole bench. All twelve lawyers, close together, one team. Each links
> to their profile.
>
> A photo strip — this becomes a slider of real November photography.
>
> "Did you know" — real facts, like Darren's Supreme Court of Canada win.
>
> Locations: an embedded map, and all six offices — every one with its own
> tap-to-call number, and its own city page for local search visibility.
>
> Latest articles, common questions, and a footer that actually works hard: one
> more consultation call-to-action before the page ends.
>
> And this orange tab — "We've got your back" — follows the visitor down the
> whole page. Click it anywhere, and a consultation form opens. Here's a detail
> we're proud of: the form knows where you came from. Click it from a motorcycle
> accident page, you see a motorcycle. From the Kelowna office, you see Kelowna.
> Small thing — but it makes the site feel like it's listening.

## The three openings (~60 sec)

> Now — the decision. We prepared three ways to open the page.
>
> *(show home_v1)* **Option one: The Direct Answer.** No hero image at all. The
> practice areas ARE the first screen. This follows your direction to the
> letter — a visitor with a problem finds their team in seconds, zero scrolling.
>
> *(show home_v3)* **Option two: The Welcome Desk.** A full-screen photo with the
> consultation form right there on the first screen. More traditional, warmer —
> and the form captures leads immediately. And notice: the practice areas still
> don't require scrolling — they sit in this bar at the bottom edge. Click one
> and it takes you straight to that team.
>
> *(show home_v5)* **Option three: The Bold Welcome.** Same as option two, but the
> firm speaks first: "Get our lawyers on your team" — your own words, from your
> current site — backed by 160 years of combined experience and seven
> Best-Law-Firm wins. This version is also the strongest for search engines,
> because the page leads with a real headline.

## The two brand intensities (~30 sec)

*(flip between v1 and v2 header/footer)*

> Separately from the opening, there's a brand question: how much hexagon?
>
> Each option comes in two flavors. **Quiet** — the hexagon lives in small
> touches: the bullet points, the buttons. And **full hive** — the honeycomb
> pattern also appears in the header, the footer, the menus.
>
> Same page, two temperatures. That's your call to make on feel.

## Close (~20 sec)

> So the decision is simple. Not six designs — two questions.
>
> One: how should the page open — direct answer, welcome desk, or bold welcome?
>
> Two: how loud should the hexagon be — quiet, or full hive?
>
> Pick a row and a column, and that's the homepage we build. Everything below the
> opening is already done and identical in every version.
>
> We've got your back. Talk soon.
