They invited me over for dinners regularly when I lived nearby in Burnaby and I always enjoyed those times spent together.\n\nAs a young boy spending time at my Grandma's house , I could always tell when Grandpa had been around, from the fragrance of his cologne. I am sure I would still recognize the distinct smell today. \n\nI was always proud that my Grandpa was a successful businessman, and our family was lucky to have the latest in computer technology growing up (during the 80's when most people had limited experience or knowledge with computers!). I would often brag to my friends about the legend of my Grandpa McPhee being the inventor of the Hawaiian pizza. \n\nYou'll be missed by many, Grandpa. \nLove, Joel",

He was always generous with his attention while being such a fun fun uncle. His visits to the Wood farm always resulted in unique experiences for us. He was classy in his dress and drove a nice car. His marksmanship was excellent as we watched him shoot a gopher from about 200 yards. Always a showman at heart he would entertain us with comedy routines. \nUncle Gary was loved by us all.",
