Equinox Business Law Group · home page · Step 1 of the design mockup round

Direction A — editorial

A calm, whitespace-led page where type alone carries the hierarchy, so a firm that sells judgement looks like one that has it.

How it reaches the rest of the site

A long migrated post inherits the 19px serif body at a 68-character measure with 1.68 line-height and the same light sans heading scale, so 513 posts read as one publication without a single manual format.

The General Counsel page’s three tiers become three rule-separated rows on the plan pattern — tier name, one line, feature list — so a tier can be added or renamed without a new layout.

The four new patterns, as this direction expresses them

Grouped value proposition — four headed lists on a 2 × 2 grid, no cards, no rules.

Three-step process — oversized gold numerals against rule-separated rows.

Before-and-after — two type columns split by one vertical rule; distinguished by heading, marker and rule weight, never colour alone.

Objection accordion — a rule-separated list, first item open, three closed.

Paired CTAs — gold fill (direct) then teal outline (transitional), in that order, on the hero, the plan, the final band and in the header. Sections 2 and 11 carry one transitional button each. No third ask anywhere; the newsletter is a footer text link.

Placeholders on this page — every one labelled in the artboards

Logo — plain text, Brand Kit logo to follow (header and footer)

Revenue threshold — AISV to confirm (section 9, first criterion); no figure appears

Objection-handling section heading — AISV to confirm (section 10)

Assessment name — to be confirmed; full label in sections, short label in header and drawer

Canonical firm name — Equinox Business Law Group PLLC, working assumption (footer copyright)

Street address — to follow, and whether a client-facing office exists at all is unconfirmed

Palette and typography — provisional, extracted from the live site pending the Brand Kit

One image slot at section 4 — non-people subject only; no photograph is placed

Type, colour and assets — sources and licences

Libre Franklin (SIL Open Font License) for headings and UI; Source Serif 4 (SIL Open Font License) for body and long-form. Two families, both self-hostable by the build at no cost. Fallbacks: Helvetica Neue / Arial and Georgia.

Teal #004963 and gold #ffd457 read off the live site’s CSS on 2026-09-03 as provisional reference; gold is the only accent, teal is structural. Grounds are white with two tinted exceptions: section 3 and the closing band.

Icons are inline SVG drawn to a 24px grid (checkmarks, cross, plus, minus, LinkedIn, YouTube). No icon font, no purchased set, no stock photography — nothing here requires a licence after approval.

DRAFT copy throughout, to be finalized by Equinox with AISV. Copy is the AISV brand story verbatim, with two sanctioned substitutions: the revenue threshold and the section 10 heading. Social links are LinkedIn and YouTube only. The service area reads Washington, Oregon, Colorado, in that order, and no licensing sentence appears anywhere. No team photography and no stock people.
