Text left, 1:1 square image right, both inside the site container. The portrait left too much
empty space between the copy and the image; a square is wider at the same height, so it closes that gap without
the hero getting taller.
The hero uses the same 1440px max-width and 64px gutters as the header, so the composition's right edge lines
up exactly with the right edge of the Contact Us button above it, and the copy starts on the same left
edge as the logo. Nothing bleeds off the viewport.
Height is set in vh and clamped; the width comes from aspect-ratio, so the square
stays square at every viewport size. Heights stay viewport-relative deliberately — judge these at the window
height you actually work at. The copy column is capped at 660px in every option and sits in its own flex track,
so image height can never take width from the text.
The block behind is the same size as the image, offset 30px right and 24px down — a flat
shadow rather than a larger panel. The wrapper shifts left by the same 30px so the shadow's right edge, not the
image's, meets the container edge.
Still no photograph, and still not a shortcut. All 95 images in the brand shoot are people
photographs of the team, and the client's instruction of 2026-08-27 removes team photos from the home page and
rules out stock photos of people. The slot is a labelled outline showing size and crop, per
shared-v1/design-system.md. A square is the friendliest of the shapes to what could legitimately
fill it — a workplace or office detail crops to 1:1 without losing its subject.
Colours are the brand's own: the offset block is LAW #FFFAEB, the border option is BUSINESS
#027CA1.
130vh, block behindThe shortest. A modest square beside the copy rather than a feature, and the option most likely to keep the whole hero — CTAs and supporting line included — inside one laptop screen.
