The eight areas, at size — six settings

Six boards on one idea: the eight areas set at size as the only thing between the heading and the button. Board 0 is the version already chosen as the current favourite; boards 1–5 are variations on it. Copy is verbatim throughout — heading, lead, the eight areas in AISV's order, CTA, supporting line.

One defect was found in the baseline and is fixed on every board. The run was breaking phrases across lines — Intellectual / property, Client and vendor / relationships — which turns a list of eight things into a list of eleven fragments. Each area is now unbreakable, so the run wraps only between areas. This should carry across whichever board wins.

What the variations are actually testing is what holds the eight together once they are set at size: punctuation (0), justification (1), a count (2), one per line (3), the button itself (4), or a rule (5). At 27px the difference between these is not decoration — it decides whether the reader sees one object or eight items.

The assessment's name stays a labelled placeholder on every board.

00 — Baseline (current favourite), phrases kept wholeExactly the board chosen from the last sheet, with the one fix: no area may break across a line. Gold middots do the holding. The most neutral of the six — it reads as a sentence of scope, and nothing competes with the heading or the button.

11 — Justified: a block of scopeThe same run, justified, so it forms a hard-edged rectangle instead of a ragged paragraph. It stops being a sentence and becomes an object — a measurable amount of ground, which is the argument the section is making. Justification stretches every space, so the spaces inside an area are made non-breaking — the gaps open between areas and the phrases stay tight. The cost is the last line: the block is only as square as the copy lets it be.

The count is the point — eight is a finite, checkable number, and a reader who can see the end of the list is likelier to start it than one facing an open-ended catalogue. It also makes the section read as an instrument with a defined scope rather than a description of the firm's practice areas, which is the risk the flowing setting carries.

It removes the one moment where the section pauses before asking, and it is the shortest of the six. The risk is that a button set inside a text run is easy to read past — the thing it gains in flow it can lose in prominence.
