# notes/source/ — client and partner source documents

Original documents the build is planned from, kept here so a session can check wording against
the source rather than a digest. They are large and are not loaded by default; the planning docs
under `.logs/planning/` carry the working extracts. Both AISV documents contain client revenue
figures; never copy any dollar figure out of them into a project file.

## Brand Kit (`brand-kit/`) and the 2026 Brand Photo Shoot (`photos/`)

The client's own brand system, from Alicia Wimmer 2026-08-27, filed 2026-09-03. **Read
`brand-kit/README.md` first** — it is the design-usable digest: the six named brand colours with
hex and Pantone, the Montserrat scale, a file map saying which logo lockup goes on which ground,
the gradient and swirl devices, the tagline, and the one place the guide is overridden by the
client. The folder holds a 76-slide brand guide (2022-06-24) as PDF and PowerPoint, a 92-slide
2023 build, an 8-slide short version, the colour slides as images, team values, and
`Logos and Assets/` with every lockup, the swirl, four gradient grounds and the letterhead.

It matters because it **supersedes the provisional palette and typography** taken off the live
site on 2026-09-03: the site's most-used dark `#004963` turns out not to be a brand colour at all.
The working set the mockups render from is `notes/mockups/shared-v1/design-system.md`; the durable
summary is `.memory/brand-kit.md`.

`photos/` holds about 100 images from the 2026 shoot. The client allows at most one or two team
photographs across the whole site and none on the home page, so this is a small selection problem,
not a library to import. Never bulk-import it into `wp-content/uploads`.

The brand guide carries the client's confidentiality notice: use it to build their site, do not
republish it or pass it outside the project.

## AISV 12-month marketing strategy deck (PDF plus .txt text extract)

Prepared by AI Smart Ventures (AISV), the client's marketing partner, as "Equinox Business Law
Group — Marketing Strategy", 34 pages; the version Rian reviewed on 2026-07-27 was titled "FINAL
EQUINOX MARKETING STRATEGY". Undated inside the document. It sets a 12-month plan to build a
predictable pipeline of fractional general counsel clients (the deck uses both "FGC" and "GCS"),
run by a lean team, in four phases (Phase 01 "Consolidate & Refresh" onward), with a website
section, AI-solution items per phase (OpenForge drafting posts into WordPress, auto-generated
FAQs, "reconnect Hotjar"), three creative concepts, and bonus content (headlines, taglines,
elevator pitches). It matters because the site is being rebuilt so AISV can execute this plan;
every "what the site must support" requirement traces to it. Digested in
`.logs/planning/scope.md` (what we build vs what AISV runs), `.logs/planning/site-architecture.md`
(persona hubs and the three service-taxonomy cuts), `.logs/planning/schema-entity-plan.md` (FAQ
and entity goals) and `.logs/planning/tracking-conversion.md` (assessment as front door, tags to
preserve). Two internal inconsistencies to raise with AISV, not resolve: the deck targets larger
businesses than the brand story's "who it's for" copy does; and the deck's Owner / CFO / HR hubs
are a different cut of the services from the brand story's four groupings and the live site's
practice areas.

## AISV StoryBrand brand story (DOCX plus .md extract)

Also by AISV; undated. The StoryBrand framework applied to Equinox (character, problem, guide,
plan, call to action, climax, core brand message), followed by the complete homepage landing-page
copy: hero, problem, stakes, guide, value proposition, three-step plan (Assess / Prioritize /
Protect and Grow), transformation, before-and-after, who it's for, objection handling (four Q&A
pairs), assessment, final CTA, footer line; plus the headlines, taglines and elevator pitches
that duplicate the deck's bonus content. It matters because the homepage is built to this copy
rather than placeholders, it fixes the CTA pairing ("Book a Consultation" direct, "Take the
Business Legal Health Assessment" transitional), and its objection-handling section is the FAQ
content for launch day. It also names the assessment "the Business Legal Health Assessment",
one of three names in circulation (name to be confirmed with AISV and the client). Digested in
`.logs/planning/design-direction.md` (copy, headlines, taglines, section map),
`.logs/planning/site-architecture.md` (homepage section map) and
`.logs/planning/tracking-conversion.md` (CTA structure).

## brand-kit/ — to be pulled from the client's SharePoint (shared 2026-08-27)

The client's "Brand Kit" folder on their SharePoint MarketingSales site, shared by Alicia Wimmer
on 2026-08-27 (link in the original email, outside the project). Expected to hold the current
logo package (the live site's logo is a 20th-anniversary variant the client wants replaced),
colours and fonts. Not yet pulled as of 2026-09-02; a person with SharePoint access does it.

## photos/ — 2026 Brand Photo Shoot, same

The client's "2026 Brand Photo Shoot" folder, shared the same day the same way. The only
approved source of people photography for the site: the client wants team photos off the
homepage, at most one or two site-wide, and no stock photos of people. Not yet pulled as of
2026-09-02.

## Not stored here

The proposal, the original emails and the platform-decision (Vercel vs WordPress) reply drafts
all contain a price of some kind and are kept outside the project. See `notes/README.md`.
