A puzzle is the most-used metaphor in professional services, so the only interesting question is which sentence it is illustrating. “A piece is missing” and “this piece fits” are different claims, and this heading makes the second one: not that the business lacks something, but that experienced counsel can sit inside it without becoming a department. The five below are ordered from the most literal reading to the most abstract.
Drawn as real geometry rather than clip art: every knob is four cubic curves, tabs and blanks are matched across shared edges, and the whole board is generated so a piece can be moved, relabelled or removed without redrawing anything. Flat fills only — no bevels, gradients or drop shadows, which is what separates this from the stock version of the same idea.

How small should the piece be?
The fraction is the message. One piece in nine says Equinox is a third of the business. One piece in twenty-four says it is the small thing that completes it — which is what the firm actually claims: counsel that fits inside the company you already have, not a department bolted onto it.
Two mechanical limits set the floor. Below about 60px a knob stops reading as a knob and the board becomes texture; and the white gap has to shrink with the pieces or it eats them, so stroke weight scales at 2.6% of the cell in every board below. Position matters more at these sizes too — a piece one in from the edge is interlocked on four sides rather than three, which is the difference between completing the board and sitting on it.
