# Site architecture

What every URL on equinoxbusinesslaw.com becomes on the rebuilt site, the navigation and footer
that replace the live ones, the URL and redirect rules, the templates the pages are built from,
and the team roster the bio template is populated with. Read this before building any page,
menu, or redirect. Scope authority is `.logs/planning/scope.md`; sequencing is
`.logs/planning/build-plan.md`; migration mechanics (posts, media, users, taxonomy) are
`.logs/planning/content-migration.md`; schema is `.logs/planning/schema-entity-plan.md`.

Sources and precedence: live-site facts are from the inspection of 2026-09-02 (recorded in
`notes/site-audit-2026-07.md`); what was sold is the proposal accepted 2026-08-13; client
decisions are from the email thread, newest wins (Alicia Wimmer's onboarding email of
2026-08-27 is the latest; see `notes/client-correspondence.md`). Where this file says "to be
confirmed", it names who confirms; do not guess, and record the answer in `.logs/handoff.md`
and, if durable, in `.memory/`.

Naming used here: the lead-capture tool is "the Business Legal Health Assessment (name to be
confirmed)" on first mention and "the assessment" after. States: Washington first, Oregon
secondary, Colorado retained; DC and VA removed (client decision 2026-08-27). Team: 9 bios
(8 live plus Nicole Farahdel). Posts: 513 published as of 2026-09-02.

Server-wide build rules are not restated here. Read `/srv/projects/standards/README.md`
(dispatches to `coding.md`, `wordpress.md`, `frontend.md`) before touching the instance
(`wp-content/`).

## Current page inventory

All 32 URLs in the live Yoast page sitemap on 2026-09-02, grouped the way the proposal scopes
them: Home (1); core pages (10); team index and bios (9, of which 8 live); policy pages (5, of
which the proposal counted 4); legacy, orphan and uncategorised pages (7: the proposal's roughly
6 plus `/newsletter-sign-up/`, which is neither core nor orphan). 1 + 10 + 9 + 5 + 7 = 32.

Disposition values: **Rebuild** (rebuilt as blocks on the new templates, content carried over);
**Migrate as-is** (content copied into the default page template, no design attention);
**Retire + redirect to X**; **Decide with client** (we recommend, the client
decides; the proposal's "Audit of roughly 6 legacy or orphaned pages, with a recommendation on
each" deliverable). Recommendations for every "Decide with client" row go to Alicia Wimmer as
one list; the answers update the redirect map below.

### Home (1)

| URL | What it is | Disposition | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| `/` | Home. Beaver Builder layout, roughly 400 words of visible copy, title tag "Home - Equinox Law Group", two `h1` elements. | Rebuild | Built to the brand story's complete landing-page structure (13 elements; see Templates). No team photos on the home page (client decision 2026-08-27). Copy is drafted from the brand story; final wording is the client's with AISV's guidance. |

### Core pages (10)

| URL | What it is | Disposition | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| `/about-us/` | About Us. | Rebuild | Candidate home for one of the at-most-two team photos permitted site-wide (client decision 2026-08-27). The brand story's elevator pitches are drafting material. |
| `/our-approach/` | Our Approach overview; parent of General Counsel, the assessment page, A La Carte Solutions, Testimonials. | Rebuild | Keeps its role as the parent of the four child URLs below; the nav also surfaces the children directly (see Target sitemap). |
| `/our-approach/general-counsel/` | General Counsel: the three tiers Signature General Counsel, Legal Maintenance, Advisor (no figures shown on the live site), two levels deep under Our Approach. | Rebuild | Base scope rebuilds this page as a core page. The Fractional General Counsel Landing Page with Tiered Pricing add-on (client "interested, discuss further" 2026-08-13; not accepted) would add a separate landing page; this page stays either way. Never write numbers for the tiers; the client supplies them. |
| `/practice-areas-industry/` | Practice Areas & Industry: one URL, one title, one meta description for 6 services, five service groups (47 sub-items), and an "Industries we serve" block rendered as images. | Rebuild | One structured page with in-page anchors, built so it can later split into hub and child pages without changing URLs (see URL policy). The service taxonomy decision (three cuts; see Practice areas and services) is owed by AISV with the client before the section order is final. |
| `/contact/` | Contact: one generic Gravity Form (name, email, company, subject, message); no address, map, or location content. | Rebuild | Adds address and map (firm street address to be confirmed by the client), service-area presentation WA first / OR secondary / CO retained, the rebuilt Gravity Form with light qualification and a source field for Pipedrive routing, and the existing attorney-client-privilege disclaimer carried over verbatim. Details in `.logs/planning/tracking-conversion.md`. |
| `/blog/` | Blog index: 57 pages of pagination, no search, no category filter, no author on cards. | Rebuild | Search & Filter Pro (client licence) provides search and category filtering. See Templates. |
| `/our-approach/legal-health-check/` | The assessment page: a Typeform embed (`data-tf-widget="QIIINVqG"`, iframe title "BHA Survey") inside `id="bha-form"`; the page's own CTAs link to `#bha-form`; framed as three pillars Spirit / Mind / Body; carries a disclaimer naming Washington, Idaho, and Oregon as licensed states. | Rebuild | The URL is held until the assessment's single name is confirmed (AISV with the client), then redirected if the slug changes. The Typeform embed carries over as-is; the page becomes the "front door" with a clean path in rather than an anchor link. Do not carry the licensing sentence over unverified (see Location and state signals). |
| `/our-approach/a-la-carte-solutions/` | A La Carte Solutions. | Rebuild | AISV's Phase 03 nurtures a-la-carte buyers toward general counsel plans: this page links prominently to `/our-approach/general-counsel/` and carries the paired CTAs. |
| `/our-approach/testimonials/` | Testimonials. | Rebuild | Testimonials migrate verbatim into a testimonial pattern. |
| `/events/` | Events. | Rebuild | What feeds the page (a maintained list, a plugin, an external calendar) is not recorded in any source; Rian confirms from the exported site. If nothing feeds it, this becomes Decide with client (retire + redirect to `/about-us/`). |

### Team index and bios (9: index + 8 live bios)

| URL | What it is | Disposition | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| `/about-us/legal-team/` | Team index; lists the 8 live people in the order given under Team roster. | Rebuild | Lists 9 people on the new site: the 8 live plus Nicole Farahdel; Mandy Bowen removed (already absent from the sitemap on 2026-09-02). |
| `/about-us/legal-team/michelle-bomberger/` | Bio: Michelle Bomberger, CEO & Managing Attorney. | Rebuild on the bio template | Also author slug `michelle`; the author-to-bio binding starts here. |
| `/about-us/legal-team/laura-doehle/` | Bio: Laura Doehle, COO & Integrator. | Rebuild on the bio template | |
| `/danica-paddock/` | Bio: Danica Paddock, Corporate Counsel, sitting at the site root instead of under the team path. | Rebuild on the bio template at `/about-us/legal-team/danica-paddock/`; Retire + redirect the root URL to it | Also author slug `danica-paddock`. |
| `/about-us/legal-team/dominique-zett/` | Bio: Dominique Zett, Director of Operations & Project Manager. | Rebuild on the bio template | |
| `/about-us/legal-team/devon-maxwell/` | Bio: Devon Maxwell, Corporate Paralegal. | Rebuild on the bio template | |
| `/about-us/legal-team/leaf-ekaika/` | Bio: Leaf E'kaika, Operations Administrator. | Rebuild on the bio template | |
| `/about-us/legal-team/alicia-wimmer/` | Bio: Alicia Wimmer, Sales & Marketing Operations Coordinator. The live team page links to `/about-us/legal-team/alicia-megrath/` while the Yoast page sitemap lists `/about-us/legal-team/alicia-wimmer/` (both 2026-09-02); her author slug is `aliciam` (a name change). | Rebuild on the bio template; Decide with client on the canonical slug | Default `alicia-wimmer`, with `alicia-megrath` redirected to it. Whether both live URLs resolve is confirmed by Rian from the exported site. |
| `/about-us/legal-team/pamela-franklin/` | Bio: Pamela Franklin, Sales & Customer Experience Officer. | Rebuild on the bio template | |

### Policy and legal pages (5)

| URL | What it is | Disposition | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| `/privacy-policy/` | Privacy policy. | Migrate as-is | Default page template. Termageddon/Usercentrics-driven text if that is how it is generated on the live site: confirm with Rian in Phase 0 (Foundations; proposal week 1) alongside the licence check. |
| `/cookie-policy/` | Cookie policy. | Migrate as-is | As above. |
| `/terms-of-service/` | Terms of service. | Migrate as-is | |
| `/disclaimer/` | Disclaimer. | Migrate as-is | Legal content; no edits without the client's instruction. |
| `/eula/` | End-user licence agreement. | Decide with client | The proposal counted four policy pages; the sitemap has five. Recommendation: retire + redirect to `/terms-of-service/` unless the firm has a product or portal that needs an EULA. Rian confirms which four the proposal meant, with the client. |

### Legacy, orphan and uncategorised pages (7: the proposal's roughly 6 plus `/newsletter-sign-up/`, which is neither core nor orphan)

| URL | What it is | Disposition | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| `/recommendations-summary-download/` | Appears to be a results/download step tied to the assessment. | Decide with client | Recommendation: retire + redirect to the assessment page. Whether the Typeform delivers results to this page is confirmed by Rian with AISV before retiring it. |
| `/recommendations-summary-form/` | Appears to be a form step tied to the assessment. | Decide with client | Same recommendation and same check as the row above. |
| `/covid-19-the-resources-your-business-needs/` | COVID-19 resources page (2020-era). | Decide with client; pending Rian (category base) | Recommendation: retire + redirect to the `covid` category archive at `<category base>/covid/` (the `covid` category holds 14 posts on 2026-09-02; the category-archive base is confirmed per URL policy item 3 before this redirect is written). If category consolidation merges `covid`, the redirect follows the merged category. |
| `/business-health-assessment-download/` | Likely the assessment's results/download step under its AISV-deck name. | Decide with client | Recommendation: retire + redirect to the assessment page, after the same Typeform check. |
| `/categories/` | Appears to be a category listing page (the blog's taxonomy rendered as a page); confirm from the exported site (Rian). | Decide with client | Recommendation: retire + redirect to `/blog/`; the rebuilt blog index's category filter replaces it. |
| `/go-boldy-with-equinox/` | Campaign page for the firm's "Go Boldy" line (the email signature reads "Go Boldy (and legally)" and points at `equinox.law`). | Decide with client | Recommendation: retire + redirect to `/about-us/` unless the client still uses it as a campaign destination. Check whether `equinox.law` resolves to this page before retiring it; confirm the "Boldy" spelling with the client before reusing the line anywhere. |
| `/newsletter-sign-up/` | Newsletter sign-up page (a Gravity Forms newsletter form; the live site also loads a Constant Contact signup widget). | Decide with client | Recommendation: keep as a thin page on the default template, because AISV's Phase 01 re-introduces the general counsel offer atop the In Balance newsletter and needs a stable sign-up URL. Whether it is indexed is decided with AISV ("block thin pages from search engines" is in scope). Which list the form feeds is confirmed by Alicia Wimmer (see `.logs/planning/tracking-conversion.md`). |

Not in the page sitemap but live and covered elsewhere: 513 posts under `/blog/<slug>/`; author
archives at `/blog/author/<slug>/` (7 in the author sitemap); category archives (51 with posts,
17 empty; 68 registered); the empty `article-type` taxonomy's 4 term URLs. All are handled in
`.logs/planning/content-migration.md`; their URL rules are in URL policy below.

## Target sitemap and navigation

Labels are drafts for the Design Mockup and Review Round; structure is the deliverable. The
primary nav must surface the services and the general counsel offer (proposal requirement; the
live nav has neither). The two header buttons are the paired CTAs the brand story defines:
"Book a Consultation" (direct) and "Take the Business Legal Health Assessment (name to be
confirmed)" (transitional). Both appear on every page; each fires its own GTM event.

Notes on the tree:

- The live footer "Explore Equinox" list is Home, Our Approach, Testimonials, Practice Areas &
Industry, Blog, About Us, Team, Contact. The target list keeps all of those and adds General
Counsel and the assessment, which is what "surfaces the services and the general counsel
  offer" means in the footer.
- Booking mechanism behind "Book a Consultation": the live site's single CTA is "Schedule a
Meeting" to an Outlook `bookwithme` link. Default is to keep that link and track the click as
an outbound event; whether it stays or routes to the contact form is confirmed by Rian with
  the client. Recorded in `.logs/planning/tracking-conversion.md`.
- Breadcrumbs (in scope) render on every page except Home, following the URL hierarchy above.
- The "Services" label depends on the taxonomy decision (see Practice areas and services). If
AISV chooses the brand story's four groupings, the dropdown carries those four as anchor
  links into the practice-areas page.
- Community Involvement entries are outbound links on the live site (home, contact, team and
  General Counsel pages, 2026-09-02): EO Seattle -> https://www.eoseattle.org/; Women's
Presidents Organization -> https://www.women-presidents.com/; Seattle U Family Business
  Exchange -> https://www.seattleu.edu/business/student-life/iec/fbx/; Bellevue LifeSpring ->
  https://www.bellevuelifespring.org/; CFO Leadership Council -> https://cfoleadershipcouncil.com/.
Carry these five targets over unchanged as external links opening in a new tab, as on the
live site. (The two removed entries pointed at https://member.eonetwork.org/portland and
https://100women.org/; do not carry them over.)

## URL policy

1. **Every existing URL that survives keeps its exact path.** Post slugs, `/blog/`, the core
pages, the four (or five) policy pages, and the seven team bios already under
`/about-us/legal-team/` do not change. Rankings and inbound links carry over by keeping
   paths, not by redirecting them.
2. **Team bios live at `/about-us/legal-team/<first-last>/`.** Danica Paddock's bio moves from
   `/danica-paddock/` to `/about-us/legal-team/danica-paddock/` with a redirect. Nicole
Farahdel is created at `/about-us/legal-team/nicole-farahdel/`. Alicia Wimmer's canonical
slug defaults to `alicia-wimmer` (the slug already in the sitemap), with
`/about-us/legal-team/alicia-megrath/` redirected to it; the client confirms the preferred
slug. The team index stays at `/about-us/legal-team/`. If bios are implemented as a
dedicated team post type (which `bw-ai-schema-pro` requires to be mapped in its settings for
Person schema; see `.logs/planning/schema-entity-plan.md`), the post type's rewrite slug is
`about-us/legal-team` with no post-type archive, so the index remains an ordinary page at
that URL. Rian confirms the implementation choice per `/srv/projects/standards/wordpress.md`.
3. **Blog URLs are unchanged:** index `/blog/`, posts `/blog/<slug>/`, author archives
`/blog/author/<slug>/` (confirmed live), and category archives at whatever base the live
`category-sitemap.xml` shows. The category base is not recorded in any source: no captured
live page links to a category archive. Rian confirms it from that sitemap (or the exported
site) before the redirect map is loaded; `/blog/category/<slug>/` is assumed to match the
author base, and every row below written as `<category base>/...` is provisional until then.
Category merges (the near-duplicate sets listed in `.logs/planning/content-migration.md`)
get a redirect from the retired category URL to the surviving one. Author archives exist only for accounts the
client keeps with a byline; retired accounts' archives redirect (default target `/blog/`,
or the person's bio if they are a current team member). The empty `article-type` taxonomy
is removed and its four term URLs redirect to `/blog/`.
4. **Practice areas stay on `/practice-areas-industry/`,** rebuilt as one structured page with
an anchor per service group (for example `#corporate-strategy`). Build it so it can split
into a hub page plus child pages later without changing this URL: each group is its own
pattern instance with its own heading and anchor, so a child page is a cut-and-paste plus a
   redirect from the anchor, never a rewrite. No separate practice-area pages are built now;
the Practice Area and Topic Hub Architecture add-on was not accepted on 2026-08-13.
5. **The Fractional General Counsel landing page URL is reserved, not built:** for example
`/fractional-general-counsel/`. Nothing is published there until the client accepts the
add-on. The General Counsel page keeps `/our-approach/general-counsel/` regardless.
6. **The assessment page stays at `/our-approach/legal-health-check/`** until the single name is
confirmed by AISV with the client. If the confirmed name changes the slug, the page moves
and the old URL redirects; every CTA, nav label, page title, and schema name changes in the
   same commit.
7. **Retired pages always redirect (301) to the most specific surviving page,** never to Home
unless nothing closer exists. Nothing is deleted without a redirect-map row.
8. **Thin pages that are kept are noindexed,** decided page by page with AISV (in scope: "block
   thin pages from search engines").

## Redirect map (skeleton)

The redirect map is a contracted deliverable ("Redirect map for retired or restructured URLs").
It lives in the Redirection plugin (or equivalent; not installed on staging as of 2026-09-02)
and this table is its source of truth until then. Every row marked "pending" is waiting on the
Decide with client answer above. All redirects are 301. Verify each with a crawl of staging
before launch (`.logs/planning/build-plan.md`, definition of done).

| `<category base>/<merged-slug>/` (one row per merged category) | `<category base>/<surviving-slug>/` | Category consolidation | Pending AISV taxonomy map; pending Rian (category base) |
| The four `article-type` term URLs | `/blog/` | Empty taxonomy retired | Decided |

Rows this map must never contain: any post slug (posts keep their URLs), any surviving core or
policy page, the seven bios already under `/about-us/legal-team/`.

## Templates

Everything below is built as unsynced Kadence patterns with editable inner blocks (stack
standard) on the Kadence theme already on staging (Kadence 1.5.2 parent, `kadence-child`,
Kadence Blocks, Kadence Blocks Pro, Kadence Pro). No hard-coded content in templates; no
hand-written JSON-LD (schema comes from `bw-ai-schema-pro` configuration). Template mechanics
follow `/srv/projects/standards/wordpress.md`.

### Pattern library (built once in Phase 2, Design system and pattern library, reused everywhere; proposal week 2, calendar re-baselined by Rian in `.logs/planning/build-plan.md`)

| Pattern | Used by | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Hero (heading, subhead, paired CTA, supporting line) | Home; optional on core pages | No team photo on the home hero. |
| Paired CTA band ("Book a Consultation" primary, "Take the assessment" secondary) | Every page; end of every post; header | One pattern, two buttons, fixed order; each button carries its GTM event attributes. |
| Three-step process (Assess / Prioritize / Protect and Grow) | Home; Our Approach | Named in the proposal as a required section type. |
| Before-and-after comparison (two columns, seven lines each) | Home; General Counsel; landing pages | Named in the proposal. |
| Objection-handling accordion = FAQ block from `bw-ai-schema-pro` | Home (four Q&A pairs from the brand story); any page AISV adds FAQ content to | Emits `FAQPage` markup. Google stopped showing FAQ rich results in Search on 2026-05-07; the content is for buyers and AI answer engines, not rich snippets. |
| Grouped value proposition (four cards with heading, one-liner, bullet list) | Home; Practice Areas (if the four-grouping taxonomy is chosen) | Named in the proposal. |
| Question list / checklist (seven-, eight-item lists) | Home problem, transformation, who-it-is-for, assessment sections | One list pattern with a checkmark variant. |
| Testimonial card / carousel | Testimonials; optional on Home and General Counsel | |
| Tier cards (three tiers, no figures shown) | General Counsel | The tier comparison structure and fixed-versus-hourly table are add-on deliverables; not built unless the add-on is accepted. |
| Team card (headshot, name, title, link) | Team index; author box | Placeholder variant for Nicole Farahdel: no stock photo of a person. |
| Service group (heading, intro, sub-item list, anchor id) | Practice Areas (five instances now) | Designed to become a child page later (URL policy, item 4). |
| Contact block (address, map embed, phone, email, hours) | Contact; footer | Address and hours to be confirmed by the client. |
| Video embed (the `bw-dev` YouTube embed block, already installed on staging) | Single post; any page | AISV's Phase 02 YouTube channel and Creative Concept 01 shorts (each question becomes a post plus a YouTube short) embed into posts and pages without a developer. Verify the block is available to an Editor-role user and loads lazily (no autoplay, no third-party script until play). |

### Page and post templates

| Template | URL(s) | Patterns and components | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Home | `/` | In order: hero; problem (seven questions + "Find Out Where Your Business Is Exposed" button to the assessment); stakes (six-line list); guide; grouped value proposition (four cards); three-step process + paired CTA; transformation (eight-line checklist); before-and-after; who it is for (eight-item checklist; the revenue criterion is drafted without a figure until AISV and the client settle the audience threshold); objection-handling accordion (FAQ block, four pairs; section heading to be confirmed with AISV, the copy has none); assessment section (eight-area checklist + button); final CTA band; footer message. | Headings verbatim from the brand story; body drafted from it. Sequence and copy map: `.logs/planning/design-direction.md` (section "Home page structure") and `.logs/planning/content-migration.md` (section "Home page copy map"); the complete verbatim copy is in the brand story under `notes/source/`. |
| Default page | About Us, Our Approach, A La Carte Solutions, policy pages, newsletter page | Title, breadcrumbs, content area, paired CTA band at the end (omitted on policy pages) | Policy pages: content only, no CTA band, no sidebar. |
| Team bio | `/about-us/legal-team/<slug>/` (9) | Headshot, name, title, bio text, LinkedIn link, "Posts by" list where the person is an author, paired CTA | One template, nine instances. Fields feed Person schema; author-to-bio binding makes the bio the canonical Person URL instead of `/blog/author/<slug>/`. LinkedIn profile URLs per person are not in any source; collect via the `bw-ai-schema-pro` team survey (`/srv/apps/bw-plugins/wp-content/plugins/bw-ai-schema-pro/docs/SPEC-team-survey.md`). |
| Team index | `/about-us/legal-team/` | Intro; team card grid in roster order; paired CTA | Optional location for the second permitted team photo (confirm at mockup review). |
| Blog index | `/blog/` | Search & Filter Pro search box + category filter (an author filter is not in the sold scope; add only if Rian approves it after the author roster is settled); post cards with featured image, title, date, category, author; pagination | Replaces 57 pages of unfiltered pagination. Form and filter CSS/JS load only on pages that use them (conditional loading is in scope). |
| Single post | `/blog/<slug>/` | Breadcrumbs; title; author line (bound to the bio); date; featured image; content; category/tag list; author box (photo, title, bio link); end-of-post paired CTA; optional FAQ block; video embed (`bw-dev` YouTube block) available in the content area | Must render migrated classic-HTML posts and REST-created OpenForge drafts on-brand with no manual formatting. Guest/contributor byline mechanism: `.logs/planning/content-migration.md`. Article + author schema from `bw-ai-schema-pro`. |
| Author archive | `/blog/author/<slug>/` | Author header pulled from the bound bio (current team) or the guest-contributor record (others); post list | Only for accounts the client keeps with a byline. |
| Category archive | `<category base>/<slug>/` (base confirmed by Rian per URL policy item 3; `/blog/category/` assumed) | Category name and description; post list; filter link back to `/blog/` | 51 categories have posts (68 registered, 17 empty; 2026-09-02); consolidation map from AISV decides the final set. Empty categories are removed. |
| Search results | `/?s=` | Same layout as the blog index, native WordPress search | Kept cheap: no extra queries beyond the results loop. |
| 404 | any unmatched URL | Heading, one sentence, links to Home, Blog, Contact, and the assessment; site search box | Deliberately cheap: static content, no related-post queries, no forms, no Search & Filter Pro assets. A bot 404-crawl against an expensive 404 page exhausts the capped Apache worker pool (`/srv/CLAUDE.md`, runaway kernel log runbook). |
| Contact | `/contact/` | Intro; contact block (address, map, phone, email); rebuilt Gravity Form with light qualification and a hidden source field; attorney-client-privilege disclaimer verbatim; service-area statement (WA first, OR secondary, CO retained) | Gravity Forms assets load here (and on the newsletter page) only. |
| Assessment page | `/our-approach/legal-health-check/` | Hero naming the assessment with its confirmed name; what it covers (the brand story's eight gap areas, or the live Spirit / Mind / Body pillars, whichever AISV confirms); the Typeform embed (`QIIINVqG`) high on the page in a swappable embed slot; what happens next; paired CTA with the direct CTA only (the page is the transitional CTA's destination) | The embed slot is the only thing a future interactive assessment (AISV Creative Concept 03, not in scope) replaces. Source context passed to the embed and the GTM event on the embed: `.logs/planning/tracking-conversion.md`. Disclaimer wording waits on the licensing answer (Location and state signals). |
| General Counsel | `/our-approach/general-counsel/` | Intro; three tier cards (Signature General Counsel, Legal Maintenance, Advisor; no figures); who each tier is for; before-and-after; testimonial; paired CTA | If the Fractional General Counsel landing page add-on is accepted, the tier comparison structure, fixed-versus-hourly table, and offer schema are built on the new landing page and this page links to it. |
| Testimonials | `/our-approach/testimonials/` | Intro; testimonial pattern instances; paired CTA | Content verbatim from the live page. |
| Events | `/events/` | Intro; event list (source to be confirmed by Rian); paired CTA | See inventory note. |
| A La Carte Solutions | `/our-approach/a-la-carte-solutions/` | Intro; service list; a section that bridges to General Counsel; paired CTA | The bridge section is what AISV's Phase 03 "a-la-carte to GCS" nurture links to. |
| Practice Areas & Industries | `/practice-areas-industry/` | Intro; "Services we offer" (six items); five service-group pattern instances with anchors; "Industries we serve" as a text list (not images); paired CTA | Structure and content in the next section. Service schema per group from `bw-ai-schema-pro`. |

Header and footer are Kadence header/footer builders (or Kadence Pro elements) configured once;
the location line, community list, social icons, and copyright are editable content, not code.

## Team roster

Nine bios on the new site: the 8 people on the live team page (in its order, with its titles,
2026-09-02) plus Nicole Farahdel (client decision 2026-08-27). Mandy Bowen is removed (already
absent from the live sitemap on 2026-09-02; check the exported database for a draft or private
bio and a user account, and add a redirect row if a URL existed).

| # | Name | Title | Live URL | Action |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Michelle Bomberger | CEO & Managing Attorney | `/about-us/legal-team/michelle-bomberger/` | Rebuild on the bio template; bind to author slug `michelle` (20 public posts on 2026-09-02). Principal Person entity. |
| 2 | Laura Doehle | COO & Integrator | `/about-us/legal-team/laura-doehle/` | Rebuild on the bio template. |
| 3 | Danica Paddock | Corporate Counsel | `/danica-paddock/` | Rebuild at `/about-us/legal-team/danica-paddock/`; redirect the root URL; bind to author slug `danica-paddock` (36 public posts). |
| 4 | Dominique Zett | Director of Operations & Project Manager | `/about-us/legal-team/dominique-zett/` | Rebuild on the bio template. |
| 5 | Devon Maxwell | Corporate Paralegal | `/about-us/legal-team/devon-maxwell/` | Rebuild on the bio template. |
| 6 | Leaf E'kaika | Operations Administrator | `/about-us/legal-team/leaf-ekaika/` | Rebuild on the bio template. |
| 7 | Alicia Wimmer | Sales & Marketing Operations Coordinator | `/about-us/legal-team/alicia-wimmer/` (Yoast page sitemap) and `/about-us/legal-team/alicia-megrath/` (linked from the live team page), both 2026-09-02 | Rebuild on the bio template at the canonical slug (default `alicia-wimmer`; client confirms); redirect the other; bind to author slug `aliciam` (43 public posts). |
| 8 | Pamela Franklin | Sales & Customer Experience Officer | `/about-us/legal-team/pamela-franklin/` | Rebuild on the bio template. |
| 9 | Nicole Farahdel | Corporate Paralegal | none | Create at `/about-us/legal-team/nicole-farahdel/` with a placeholder image (not a stock photo of a person) and placeholder bio text marked as draft; no Person schema until the real headshot and bio arrive from Alicia Wimmer; the launch checklist must not ship the placeholder unknowingly. |

Headshots: individual headshots on bio pages are expected and are not the "team photos" the
client limited to one or two site-wide; confirm at mockup review. Source images from the 2026
Brand Photo Shoot folder (a human with SharePoint access pulls them down).

Authors who are not on the team (Andrew Shaw, Jessica McGarvie, John Butler, Katie Robinson,
Pat Martinez, Ryan van Buuren on 2026-09-02, plus any account only the exported database
reveals) get no bio page; the client decides per person whether the byline stays (as a guest
contributor record), the posts are reassigned, or the account is retired with a redirect. That
list is prepared in `.logs/planning/content-migration.md`.

## Practice areas and services

The rebuilt `/practice-areas-industry/` page must carry everything the live page carries
(2026-09-02), restructured, not reduced:

**"Services we offer" (6):** Buying and Selling a Business/M&A; Contract Negotiation and
Maintenance; Intellectual Property; Real Estate; Starting a Business; Succession and Transition
Planning.

**Five service groups with sub-lists (47 items):**

| Group | Items | Anchor (proposed) |
|---|---|---|
| Corporate Strategy | 21 | `#corporate-strategy` |
| Sales | 7 | `#sales` |
| Human Resources | 11 | `#human-resources` |
| Property | 4 | `#property` |
| Purchasing/Vendor Management | 4 | `#purchasing-vendor-management` |

The 47 sub-items are counted in the 2026-09-02 inspection but not listed in any project source.
Capture them verbatim from the exported site (or the live page HTML) into
`notes/site-audit-2026-07.md` before the page is rebuilt; do not paraphrase service names.

**"Industries we serve":** rendered as images on the live page with no extractable text; the
July audit counted five. Ask Alicia Wimmer for the list as text rather than transcribing
graphics. On the new page industries are text (accessibility, SEO, schema), never images.

**The three taxonomy cuts, flagged for AISV and the client to settle (not for us to resolve):**

1. Brand story: four groupings: Contracts and Commercial Agreements; Employment and HR Legal
Support; Business Risk and Compliance; Ongoing Strategic Legal Guidance.
2. Live site: the 6 services + 5 groups + industries above.
3. AISV deck: Owner / CFO / HR persona hubs (Phase 02; the hub add-on that would house them
   was not accepted).

Recommendation to put to AISV: use the brand story's four groupings as the page's top-level
sections and the home page's value-proposition pattern, and fold the live sub-lists under them
so no service name is lost. Until AISV answers, build the page on the live structure (cut 2) so
the build does not wait; the change is a re-ordering of pattern instances, not a rebuild. The
decision also fixes the "Services" nav dropdown and the Service schema items
(`.logs/planning/schema-entity-plan.md`).

## Location and state signals

Client decision 2026-08-27: remove any mention of serving businesses in DC and VA. The firm's
own email signature changed from "WA, OR, CO, DC, and VA" to "WA, OR and CO", so Colorado
stays. The proposal had offered to drop Colorado too; the client's answer overrides it. Build
order: Washington first, Oregon secondary, Colorado retained.

Every place the states appear, and what goes there:

| Location | Live state (2026-09-02) | Target |
|---|---|---|
| Header strapline / site-wide location line | "WA, OR, CO, VA & DC" in the site-wide strapline (present on the live home and contact pages, 2026-09-02; also recorded in the July audit) | Washington, Oregon and Colorado; Washington named first. Whether the header carries a strapline at all is a mockup decision. |
| Contact page | No address, no map, no location content | Firm street address (Bellevue, WA area; exact address to be confirmed by the client), map, and a service-area statement leading with Washington, then Oregon, then Colorado. |
| Footer | Community list and copyright only; no explicit location line recorded | Location line naming WA, OR and CO, plus the address block. |
| Schema `areaServed` (via `bw-ai-schema-pro`) | Absent | Washington, Oregon, Colorado; local business markup concentrated on Washington. `.logs/planning/schema-entity-plan.md`. |
| Body copy anywhere (pages, bios, posts as found) | Various | No DC or VA mentions survive migration; grep the migrated content for "Virginia", "VA", "DC", "District of Columbia" before launch. |

**Licensing language is a separate question and is not settled.** The live assessment page's
disclaimer says the firm "is licensed to practice law in Washington, Idaho, and Oregon" (no
Colorado, and Idaho is not a served state in the client's list). Licensing statements on a law
firm's site are regulated content, so do not carry that sentence over, do not rewrite it to
match the served-states list, and do not write any new licensing sentence anywhere (footer,
disclaimer page, bios, contact page, assessment page) until Michelle Bomberger, via Alicia
Wimmer, confirms which states the firm is licensed in and the exact wording. Record the answer
in `.memory/` once received.
