# Terms of use

These terms apply to everyone who uses dutyfreeprofessor.com. By using the site you agree to
them. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

## What the site is

Duty Free Professor is an information site. It compares the prices that airport shops publish on
their own websites, shows the awards that bottles have won, and publishes guides and articles.
We do not sell anything. When you buy, you buy from the shop, on the shop's own terms.

## Prices are observations, not offers

Every price on the site is something we read on a shop's public website, shown with the date we
read it. Prices change, and what you pay can differ from what we show: it can depend on your
destination, your loyalty tier, the currency and any promotion at the till. Where we compare
prices in different currencies we use approximate exchange rates.

Always check the price with the shop before you buy. We work hard to keep the information
accurate, but we cannot promise that it is complete, current or correct in every detail.

## Allowances and customs

Duty-free allowances and customs rules are set by the country you arrive in, and they change
from time to time. Anything the site says about them is general information. It is your
responsibility to check the rules that apply to your journey.

## Awards and articles

The medals shown on the site come from independent competitions and reflect the judges'
opinions at the time. Our articles and guides are general information and opinion, not
professional advice.

## Sponsored placements

Some positions on the site carry sponsored content, and every one is labelled Sponsored.
Sponsorship never changes the prices we show.

## Links to other sites

The site links to shops, brands and other websites. We do not control them and are not
responsible for their content, prices, availability or privacy practices.

## Using the site fairly

You may use the site for your own information. You must not:

- try to break into the site, test its security, or disrupt it;
- access the site with automated tools except as our robots.txt allows, including its limits on
  using our content to train AI models;
- copy, republish or sell the site's content or price information in bulk, or present it as your
  own, without our written permission;
- use the site in any way that breaks the law.

## Accounts

Some parts of the site need an account, which we create by invitation. Keep your password to
yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. We may suspend or close
an account that breaks these terms.

## Comments

If you post a comment from an account, you are responsible for it, and you allow us to show it
on the site. We may remove comments at our discretion.

## Ownership

The site's text, design and the way its price information is arranged belong to Duty Free
Professor or to the people who have licensed them to us. Brand names, logos and pictures belong
to their owners: they appear on the site to identify the goods we compare, and pictures a brand
has supplied are used with its permission. Showing a name does not mean that the brand or the
shop endorses us, and we are not affiliated with the retailers or brands shown.

## Age

Parts of the site are about alcohol. You must be of legal drinking age where you live to use
them.

## No warranty

The site is provided as it is and as available. To the extent the law allows, we make no
promises about it beyond those in these terms, including that it will always be available or
without errors.

## Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss that comes from relying on the
information on the site, including a price that has changed, or from a purchase you make from a
shop. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law, or any rights
you have as a consumer.

## Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. When we do, we update the version and date at the top of this page,
and the new terms apply from then on.

## Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the place where Duty Free Professor is established, and
its courts have jurisdiction, except where the law of the country you live in gives you the
right to bring a claim there.
