# culturefoundry — brief

## What
SEO/AEO engagement for **Culture Foundry** (culturefoundry.com) — a Seattle +
Austin digital agency (enterprise web dev: WordPress, Drupal, Wagtail).
Sold as the PlusROI **Website Optimization Program**: a written Optimization
Review + a prioritized Task Checklist, then month-by-month execution against
that checklist, with monthly progress reporting.

Deliverables already drafted (in `notes/`):
- `CultureFoundry_OptimizationReview.pdf` — 7-area written review
- `CultureFoundry_Task_Checklist.xlsx` — 68 tasks, sections A–G, priorities 1–4
- The sales thread `.eml` (proposal + Zoom AI notes from the sales call)

## Who
- **Owner:** rian (rian@plusroi.com)
- **PlusROI:** Rob Cooper (sold it, subject-matter lead, personally invested in
the checklist framework) · Rian (delivery/PM/technical) · Yulia (implementer,
has not met the client yet)
- **Client (Culture Foundry):**
  - **Tanya Threlfall** — Director of Sales; main point of contact / project driver
  - **Hans Bjordahl** — decision maker; his dev team writes the code
  - **Nancy Simeone** — marketing/implementation; her team does straightforward
implementation work; joins the keyword prioritization work
  - a new growth-marketing hire Tanya said she'd loop into the thread

## Commercials
- **Accelerated** plan — **$2,000/mo**, month-to-month.
- Tanya: *"begin with the Accelerated plan for two months and see how it goes."*
→ **there is a 2-month proving window.** Concrete wins must land in month 1–2.
- No signed agreement — Rob accepted email confirmation. Hans OK'd it.
- Official start **September 2026**; prep/background work happening now.
- Full program est. ~5 months at this pace.

## Success measures agreed on the call
Phased: **deliverables → local rankings (by ~month 2) → traffic (~month 3) →
conversions**. Full results ~6 months. No ranking/traffic promises made.

## Baseline (from the review)
- **Zero trackable rankings** for target commercial keywords in Seattle or
Austin, desktop or mobile. Zero map-grid presence in either metro.
  Visibility is entirely brand/name-based.
- Citation scores: **Seattle 26/100, Austin 23/100** (target 40+).
- Old Seattle address (5101 14th Ave NW) still circulating everywhere,
  including CF's own site footer. Current: 600 N 36th St #200.
- GBP: Seattle 1 review / 1 photo; Austin 0 reviews / 0 photos. No services or
  descriptions on either.
- Strengths: real named testimonials + quantified case studies, named authors
with Person schema, clean JSON-LD, healthy technical base, `llms.txt` already
  published, link spam score 1%.

## Division of labour (agreed on the call)
- **Culture Foundry codes.** Hans's dev team does the actual development;
PlusROI writes the specs and provides guidance. Rian offered framework
  insight to avoid roadblocks.
- **Nancy's team** handles straightforward implementation; PlusROI handles the
  complex implementation.
- Their site is a **hybrid system** (Wagtail in the mix) — Nancy flagged
breadcrumbs not rendering; Rob attributed it to the hybrid setup and said it
needs extra diligence verifying data before implementation.

## Notable
- Culture Foundry is **in a sense a competitor** (agency-to-agency), but they
don't have deep SEO/AEO capability and Rob has become an authority in it.
  Handle the relationship accordingly.
- Hans raised **"wagtail support"** as a keyword opportunity worth exploring.
- Rob owes them: the workplan, some questions, and a **keyword prioritization
call with Tanya + Nancy** — promised *before* the work starts.

## Domain
None. Workspace with zero instances — docs and planning only, no site,
container, or domain. Delivery lives in Airtable + the client's own site.

## Stack
No code. Project management in Airtable (base to be designed).

## Not doing
- Not writing their code — CF's team implements; we spec and review.
- No new Google Business Profiles for Portland / Boulder / Sarasota — those are
service areas, handled with service-area settings + lighter pages.
- No standalone FAQ page — short FAQs on individual service pages only.
