# BW Guides

Documentation and guides for your website, delivered and updated by Bowden Works.

## Requirements

- WordPress 6.0 or later
- PHP 7.4 or later

## Installation

1. Download the latest release zip from https://plugins.bowden.works/bw-guides/
2. In WP Admin, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
3. Upload the zip and activate.
4. Go to **Guides → Settings** and paste the site key provided by Bowden Works —
   your guides sync immediately.

Once installed, BW Guides will automatically check for updates from `plugins.bowden.works`.

## Features

- A **Guides** section in your WordPress admin with help articles written for your site.
- Guides arrive and update automatically — Bowden Works publishes centrally and your
  site syncs twice a day (or instantly with the Sync Now button).
- **Tag** any guide so it's easy to find, and keep private **notes** on each one —
  your tags and notes always survive guide updates.
- **Write your own guides** in the normal WordPress editor; they live alongside the
  delivered ones, marked "Created here".
- Guides delivered by Bowden Works are read-only (they're kept up to date centrally);
  your own guides are fully editable.

## FAQ

**Q: Where do updates come from?**
A: Direct from Bowden Works at `plugins.bowden.works`. No WP.org involvement.

**Q: Who can read the guides?**
A: Logged-in users with editor access (`edit_posts`) or above.

**Q: What happens if I uninstall?**
A: Delivered guides are removed; guides you wrote yourself (and your tags) are kept.

**Q: How do I report a bug?**
